INFO ABOUT THE UNITED ARTS COUNCIL

The United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro (UAC) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to invest in our community. Established in 1960, the UAC strives to be a voice for local artists, arts organizations and teachers through support and leadership. The UAC believes art is a part of every day life and should be accessible to everyone.

Each year, the UAC raises approximately $1.5 million through the annual campaign, the United Arts Fund (UAF). Support comes from individuals, small businesses, corporations, foundations and government. The UAC reinvests these funds through grants and services to schools, artists and arts organizations. The UAC provides leadership and investment to ensure that high quality, diverse arts are available.

The UAC provides vital services to the community with an emphasis connecting the arts to the community through education in our schools, economic development and tourism. The UAC works to weave art into the fabric of our community and into every day life. We value what the arts provide and foster their presence. Join us. Invest In Our Creative Community!
